Must just be you because apparently everybody else has a copy of the game that works flawlessly. No wrong from DICE, none at all. Nope. Nothing. Zilch. Big old goose egg... ok running out of stuff now but you get the point.

The update seems to have caused this issue for a lot of people, but I can live with it as it happens very seldom. Dice can do no wrong in the eyes of some people.

Haha got 84 kills with the Carl Gustav in one round today! Got kicked by the admin after that. The G3 rocks as well!

How's the old joke go? If a target is worth the cost of a missile, it will be shot at with a missile. If the US Military is involved, targets not worth the cost of a missile will also be shot at with missiles.

Server admins? Check out BFBC2 ProCon. Eventually, all the RCon tools will allow mixing game modes (ie, Rush map, Conquest map, Rush Map, Conquest map). ProCon is just the first, AFAIK.

Gotta spend money to make money, as they say.

We have just distributed a new server version named R7 to the server hosts.

Early signs from the hosts are good with 20% less load on the server CPU, improved hit detection, Veteran rank handling is fixed so you should get your M1 Garand back now plus some other fixes to better help the server hosting companies and better management of Punkbuster ID's.

Update R7 Changelist:

- Several common crash fixes. Especially those which have monitoring scripts that rely on the Remote Admin interface should see stability improvements.

- PunkBuster can send commands to Remote Admin interface. pb_sv_task 0 -1 now works

- Veteran-rank handling corrected

- Switched back to Release version of the low-level networking library; less debug output but higher performance

- Increased the initial server reconnection interval to 30+rand(30) seconds

- PB GUID generation is now based on EA account IDs (it used to be based on persona names)

Also for those of you that don't know, you get a battlefield veteran rank for playing the older games which gives you access to the M1 Garand and a couple other thing I believe. Site should be up soon, theyre updating it now. Also, the Dr Pepper DLC promotion for BC2 is supposed to start soon with weapon and kit camo packs.

edit: official stats page is going live today as well as the veteran website at 17 GMT!
