Why would they time limit the game? Did the time limit in the first one really detract from the game? I just don't understand what possible value it could have.

Atleast they offered a free play mode once the game is completed this time. |

Yes, time limit was done to add a sense of urgency I believe. F that I say. Thank god for PC cheats/trainers that already fix this in DR2.

Its the same game as dead rising1. Same ****ingly bad mechanics and saving and time limit on yhe neck.
Its nice story and great zombie fun,,, but big no for mechanics... Just read reviews. They says its the same as DR1 and I did not liked that one |

But what I really liked about it in the original was how it made all the different endings possible. I think there were three vastly different endings, with the second one opening up an overtime mode that added something like an additional 30% to the game. That made a real 'What the hell?' impression on me.

It works like this(as the first one)
its 4:36 am. You have to give zombrex to his sister on 7am and go do some other main objective on the other side of game till for example 9pm. + There are tons of side missions and plenty of distractions. You might think: "I will wait to give doughter a medicine, then go to the main objective and do side quests on the go" BUT NOOO!!! Side quests are mostle escort dumb missions where You have to escort a dumb person back to safe house ( fun ). Even If You manage to get all this in time limit and get to the main objective. You can be sure that there is going to be a mini boss which will take about 2hours to beat becouse it is ****ing impossible... and You need time for return... FUN Time is running very fast. Besides that You have to be in exact spot in the exact time for the game to trigger another case. I had to restart whole Dead rising 1 two times becouse I was not able to get from point A to point B in limited time. Offcourse I am talking About DEAD RISING 1 over here. I have readed that this is identical in reviews. |

Judging from Destroy's screen shots the game does look like a mess, but I think that has more to do with the bad quality of Jpeg compression he used for the shots.

Just for a FYI, those aren't my pics. Got them from another forum. No clue what setting and stuff they were taken with.

Looks like shots with the blur setting on/off. Apparently it kills performance (as per the framecounter in the shots).

I agree. These screen shots are probably from some pirate with an older gaming PC. The game isn't even out yet, officially.
