Using DRM doesn't work either. Several users will just get (buy/pirate) the console version of the game because they are tired of this crap. Others will not buy it at all. Only a small percentage of those who intended to pirate the game will actually crack and buy it. Instead, on the negative side, you have costs of developing the DRM system and the costs of people boycotting your game because of said DRM. In the end, the company has less revenue, more expenses and more disgruntled legit buyers...

what site is it, gamefaqs.com? That place is 95% moron

Yeah, I even elaborated on that in my last post...

The Problem: Cant get past mission 1, game wont save.
The fix: Use the default profile, game on!

I have not seen an AC2 crack anywhere. Then again, where i look, NUKED cracks aren't posted and usually deleted.

As for SH5, yes its cracked, the update is cracked, and the whole not being able to get through the first mission is easily fixed. This PR is bollocks.

I have a possible fix for those who hate dealing with DRM.

Don't play games.

LOL

DRM generally doesn't bother me, as with most people. As long as i can bypass disc checks and there is a no-cd/dvd, im good - or its released on steam.

Problem is, Steam releases can still have annoying DRM. The only ones that bug me are the limited activation ones. Batman has a tool in the Steam tools tab so it's k. But Crysis Warhead and other some other EA games. You don't even know it's limited activation until they are all used up. ::

Everytime I see that image it makes me laugh how internet jockies seem incapable of grasping the idea that the internet redefines what theft is. In an age where information is a product and media is no loner tied to physical forms piracy defenders insist that theft still only applies to hard copies. You would think their use and knowledge of the internet would clue them in that times, they are a changing.

Of course theft the word, not the legal crime, has always been about more than the removal of hard possesions. "He stole my idea" and so on.

Also, of course, Steam IS DRM.
