Unhappy Screen blank for a few seconds using GeForce 9600 GT + Ubuntu 9.10 + Dell 3008WFP

Hi,

I received my Dell 3008WFP Display yesterday. I have the display running at 2560x1600.
But about every 1-2 Minutes the screen goes black and comes back on again one or two seconds later.

It does not go into powersave mode, but simply seems to loose the signal. After coming back it displays the icon for "found a signal on DVI".

This only happens when ubuntu is booted. I can stay on the BIOS screen forever without getting a black screen.

It happens more often if I start e.g. google-earth, but also happens in firefox/on an empty desktop.

So I guess the problem is communication between my Geforce 9600 GT and the display. I have already swapped the DVI cable and ports. This does not make a difference.
The NVIDIA Driver version is 195.36.08.

I have attached the xorg.conf file an the X.org log. I have tried to add ModeLines but I cannot seem to produces a line that is not beeing rejected as invalid.

Any idea what I could do to fix this?

Thanks,

Niklas
