Considering there is no proof these are real...I think I'll move it there.

It could very well be that the 470 is not much faster than a 5870 in some DX10 or 9 titles. I'm betting the 480 lights a 5870 up in heavy tesso scenarios and DX11 though.

If it doesn't no big deal. I'll just hold on to my well overclocked 5870. If it does, I'll buy one. I prefer a single strong GPU and don't bother with multi-monitor or things like eyefinity.

Shouldn't be too much longer before the speculation will be addressed.

I really don't see the point in "winning" in a VRAM limited scenario when neither card produces a playable result. On top of that, people who own a 30" monitor don't own a single videocard. That said, there is definitely a need for more than 1GB VRAM for enthusiasts in this day and age, my next card will definitely have more, but for now, it's fine at 1920x1200 with AA.

Fermi will definitely pull ahead in the "limited" scenarios. I think this is the only place it will shine. That is, VRAM limited, memory bandwidth limited and fillrate limited (through heavy tesselation).

And yet the MAX and AVG frame-rates are both HIGHER on the AMD card.

Either Min would cause a slow-down and without a graph to show how long that slowdown is for, it is nothing more than a blip honestly
