All these "servers are down" comments and I have never had one connection issue. Guess I'm lucky.

I've only gotten kicked off once. Still it is a silly DRM. If they use it for say 6 months then retire it with an update I'm fine with it. Like they did with Mass Effect and Bioshock.

And this will simply make the non-paying players simply wait those months to get it free then. I'm guessing it will be several years before they may remove the DRM.

It will be a while... dunno about years, depends on the effectiveness I would guess...

Thing about pirates is they are selfish and spoiled and want the game NOW, a visit to a pirate forum right now will show this clearly. A delay of a week is shown to increase sales, so months would do quite a lot.

Yeah, lots of DRM die hards in here I guess since only a select few of us are enjoying, playing and discussing the game. This open world game is so much more fun to me than any linear shooter could be. I am simply astounded at the fun and quality of this game over the first one.

I suppose too lack of interest may be that many people have already played the console version of AC2 and are already done with it.

its a very big shame many are going to miss out on a well written, solid, good looking game because of the terrible drm issues

i think all are sorted out now though

I think it is a combination of the DRM, the later release, the higher price and the fact March is packed with titles. All that together combines into low sales and less interest.

Splinter Cell will be the real test of this DRM's acceptance.

its really a big shame AC2 has been crippled on release with the DRM and the quiet release

it really is such an excellent game with all issues appearing sorted to me at least

Wow, Venice is like 10 times more visually interesting than the other cities all combined.
