Hmmmmmm, i was getting crashes that needed a hard reset (you know, game stucks, looping sound, etc). I then set the affinity to two cores and haven't experienced any crash from then. Strange!

Start the game and when you are in the main screen, press Alt+Tab. Then open the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del), find the executable file and press the right button. You'll see an option called "Set Afinity" (under "Set Priority"). De-select Core3-4 and go back to the game!

Crainger and I were messing with you, you know. It's just the Euro version is all, might have some wacky languages on the box and maybe English is UK English, but likely identical.

I wish the US got the Black Edition, but we did not (for PC anyway). Lame-o-rama.

As an aside, this is really a game where the console version is better. That doesn't happen often, so it's worth noting. I will add this to Splinter Cell Double Agent, Saint's Row 2, Resident Evil 4 and The Saboteur as a game better on consoles, simply because there are no improvements what-so-ever on PC, the framerate is a bit dodgy, and the DRM is so restrictive (though I have no real issues with it, better is better).

And I thought the original was a lovely PC game... oh well.

For me, the inherent PC visually improved fidelity alone nullifies any of the minor quibbles this game may have. I purposely waited for AC2 on PC and am not disappointed in the slightest, least not compared to most ported games we get.

Even the ladies like it.

Speaking of said ladies, notice how you can not grab or kill the cum dumpsters? Yet the commoner women, you can behead all day long if you want.

Asides from double agent and maybe saints row 2, imo the pc versions of those game where better due to the better framerate+resolution.

Imo, 1080p at 60fps with aa>720p at 30fps.

don't agree with you, possibility of AF and AA alone make it much better.
