Default Freeze on startx with 4GB Ram, 2GB works

Hi,

i have the following Hardware:
  • Zotac ION ITX A inkl. Intel® Atom 330 (GeForce 9400M)
  • OCZ DIMM 4 GB DDR2-800 Kit (OCZ2T800C44GK, XTC Titanium)
Software:
  • FreeBSD 8.0-RELEASE-p2
This combination doesn´t works. Freeze on startx with nvidia driver.

With 2GB Ram works perfect with the nvidia driver.

I need however 4GB (2x2GB) main memory, give it a solution for it?

Well, you won't get 4GB unless you go 64Bit. You can get 3GB and some change if you use machdep.disable_mtrrs=1 in your /boot/loader.conf.
