Make sure you aren't trying to force AA in the CP, it will cause the graphics to freak out. As far as in-game settings, I have everything turned on and maxed out.

There are definitely issues with this demo outside of the benchmark. In 3D I'm getting capped at 60 fps most of the time with no slowdown and runs exactly the same every time I load the game. Just playing normal, I can play the demo once and never see below 80-90 fps (usually 110 or so) and my GPU utilization is at 80%+ on both cards. The next time I run it right in the beginning it's running at 25-20 fps and GPU utilization is about 20%. I can go outside and punch someone or hit a car and it will shoot back up to 80% and 110 fps.

Whatever slowdown I'm seeing occasionally in the demo is exactly what's happening in the benchmark, it just doesn't happen all the time. Hopefully they get this issue fixed before release.

Are you playing with physx on Bah? I notice this behavior too. Sometimes it's great and then randomly it slows down for no reason. Most of the time it's fine. It seems completely unrelated to when it's actually doing much physx effects (like it will slow down standing in the house but when I run into boxes and break them into tons of pieces it's running fine).

Yes, Physx on High and this is exactly what I'm seeing.

Just a minute ago I logged in and it was running fine. I walked outside and dropped to 25 fps. I hopped in a car, plowed right into a car coming the other way and as soon as I hit it my fps jacked back up to 100 and stayed there the rest of the time I played.

You would think if it were a Physx issue the slowdown would have occurred when I hit the car, but instead that fixed the problem. Gun fights, car crashes, explosions, no slow down at all, but occasionally just walking around and the slowdown happens for no reason whatsoever.

Hopefully that kind of odd performance will be fixed for the final release.

There's a very good tweaking guide here http://physxinfo.com/news/3628/mafia...x-performance/

It may very well be the cloth effects (for NPCs) that is causing the random slowdowns.

Edit: This worked for me. It made the benchmark go from 30 fps to 60! The cloth effect is really only noticeable on your own character, I can't believe they were trying to simulate cloth on every character in the game!

This game runs at an average of 30 fps with everything on high, including physx. I don't think SLI is being utilized to the fullest. 1 GPU tends to max at around 80% while the other never goes passed 50%. The game still runs excellent none the less. It looks better than GTA 4 and runs better too.

Yep, I'm amazed how well it runs, even on my system. I agree about the comparison between GTA IV though.

This game is also GPU dependent. Some dude at overclock.net performed some benchmarks and the performance between dual core and quad core were the same. Single core did well in the benchmarks as well.

finally figured my graphic corruption issue. It only happens with 3d vision on. When I turn it off, game looks fine...strange though nvidia said the game is 3d ready!!!!!

I am getting some great performance in 3D Vision Surround. I have all settings on max including PhysX. There's enough performance left over for some anti-aliasing as well, which I hope gets implemented because the aliasing is fairly noticeable. Does the anti-aliasing option in the game menu actually do anything?

Took some screenies at 5760x1080 in 2D

Just finished the demo. I think the graphics are awesome, except the water. Anybody else see a weird texture just scrolling under the water?

Some of you must be blind or something. This game looks crap. Some lame blur filter on everything outside a 15 foot radius around your character.

Add to that AA seems to be impossible at the moment and it does not impress.
