Just got done playing the demo... pretty fun, but Red Dead Redemption has ruined every other game for me when it comes to the gunfights and how enemies react to getting shot .

I'll have to reinstall my second card for physx but I'll have to say coming from a Core 2 Quad to Core i7 physx performance improves a LOT. Despite what people say, physx is very depedent on the CPU as well. During some physx benchmarks when I had a Core 2 Quad my CPU usage on the physx card was around 40%. After upgrading to Core i7 it's now around 70%-80% with almost twice as high framerate.

I will agree it's ridiculously high requirements for just a few little particle effects and cloth. Why don't developers implement the same type of visual items without the advanced physics? For example havok can do cloth effects, it just may not react to explosions and such like physx.

I think the gunplay is great in this one. Only thing is I think the health regenerates too fast. It goes down even faster though so I'm glad the damage is pretty realistic like the first game.

Looks like this game can wait for the new rig...very well, I've got lots of play on my current setup.

Will still give the demo a thorough play through.

The game should run perfectly fine on your rig on full with AA.

Has anyone tried forcing AA from the control panel? The in-game AA doesn't seem to be real AA.

Seems like i need to explain every damn detail. Fair enough, next time I'll use more hints and notes

Either way, reinstall the PhysXsoftware and it will use your GPU for the PhysX. I'm sure you'll get better results as you have a I7!

It's 2010. As PC gamers should we really be surprised when things don't work out 100% the very first time? This is just a demo. They can still release a day 1 patch, etc. Relax, people.

Also, how is the game? Or can we not get past the PhysX or no-AA gripes?

I liked it but I wish they let you roam around town a little longer, maybe 30 min to an hour would be nice.
