Is that still an issue? I remember that it was brought up over a month ago when the GTX 480s first came out, and that it was determined to be a game bug rather than a driver bug and that it was occurring on both GTX 400s and Radeon 5000s in DX11. The ETA given on a patch to the game at that time was "2 weeks."

But then again I guess I shouldn't trust any date that NVIDIA gives for anything (Release 256 drivers I'm looking at you)

I used MSAA throughout the whole game. I didn't like how "AAA" looked. Still left jaggies all over the place, but DOF is amazing. Well, Metro 2033 is graphically amazing - period.

Yeah it's is a gamebug which still isn't fixed.

Regarding the fermi - what drivers and settings would you guys recommend? My GTX 470 ought to come in today and I've been in ATI land for a good long time, totally out of the loop with Nvidia - And I'm dying to see this game looking close to it's best.

I have been using the 197.75 drivers. Have been pretty good so far.

DoF does not blur things out, it does the opposite, it slightly sharpens the scenes and alters than lightning a bit, and subjectively to me makes it all feel more realistic:

It's the opposite with a GTX4xx GPU, adv. DOF blurs the image. I just switched from a HD5970 to GTX 480 SLI and that was the first I noticed. It did look good with a HD5xxx GPU.

Too bad

Must be a driver issue with the GTX4xx, must be solved at some point..

Picked this up for $25 on steam.....

Definitely excited to try it out. I've been meaning to but instead of blowing $50 on it I've managed to pick this up, Fallout3, and Oblivion for $56 total.... (I know I'm kind of late to experience all of those)

I can't wait.... this will be quite the gaming surge to tide me over until FF XIV comes out
