The light and shadows in this game is the best in any game ever. Period. Better than Crysis and the underrated but brilliant Risen.

Eh some shadows look great at times but I don't think every one is realtime dynamic and I have seen some look weird at times.

This is a great title. It seems to me that 4A took what was really the best of the technology from "stutter" oops I mean, "Stalker" and have created a really nice game. I like the scaling on it in particular, the way that it still looks good even when on "normal" settings. On my second play through currently. Hope to see more games utilizing this engine in the future.

PS. It seems to me that "Darkest Of Days" may have used this technology albeit on a lesser scale. The two games share some of the same aesthetic values for me. Ah well...hope you guys are enjoying it.

Good to hear you have decent performance on the 9800GTX. Lower settings than what others are running here, but I've been holding off thinking my 4870 wouldn't run the game even at normal. may have to break down and buy it now.

That's what I'm going to try soon as it installs.

Couldn't resist any more.

Aww man....you guys don't play fair. You know as soon as grey buys a game, I won't be far off from buying it.

It just sound too good to pass up. Dark and scary are my favorites, tough to not buy.

I tried VSync in the config, but didn't work (that was at the time I didn't realize you have to edit at least 2 configs though)... I just force through nVidia control panel and it works fine.

Haven't tried any yet, FOV didn't bother me much though.
