Yeah... I bought this for my brother for his birthday and he rarely plays through games (he is basically a MP ***** lol) and this game is so awesome I am actually going into the living room and watching him play through the game.

I started over on Normal mode. It's like 50% easier than Hard mode. What took me over a bit more than 5 hours took me a bit more than 3 hours to get back to. After the end of some battles I was looking at the heath bar and it's like they barely scratched me.

Just played a bit yesterday, and encountered a strange gamestopping bug. Right at the beginning, when Kratos has to lift the tree to move forward. I hit R1 when the screen prompted, and then it told me to press O repeatedly. I kept pressing O but the tree would not budge. The O button works otherwise and does the grabbing action repeatedly when I am just standing still. I even asked my wife to try it out, but same result. I went back and played Heavy Rain and the key works perfectly fine !!!!

I've never played any of the GOW games but when I saw the previews for GOW3, I immediately snagged 1/2 HD versions off amazon and am playing through the first one now.

I know that the graphics on 3 are hilariously better than what I'm looking at right now but I'm still SHOCKED at how good the HD version of a 5 year old game looks.

Also, on a 52" screen and a living room dominating sound system, might I add that this Trilogy is easily going to be the most epic gaming experience I'll probably ever have.

I'm SOOO tempted to play the demo for GOW3 (the actual game is in en route to my front door) but I don't want to spoil anything as far as the story goes in the 1st 2 games.

So far, I'm amazed at the creativity that virtually every aspect of the first game has. The puzzles, the visuals, everything...

Why don't I like this series?

I played 1 for about 2 hours... bored me to tears.

I don't know what is wrong with me.

well... it's fairly linear and you can't control the camera but I've found the camera view is nearly perfect at all times and I don't mind linear games as long as they take me through an amazing story (which this does)... who knows. I hated MW2 multiplayer... not all the blockbuster games are for everyone. I also loved the hell out of doom 3 and quake 4 LOL
