finally beat the game on easy...i was challenged a bit towards the end, but I admire the devs for giving the option to stroll through the game. And in good time too, since my gamefly subscription is coming up for cancellation next week!!!

And I managed to get past that issue, using an old wireless sixaxis that was lying here. Apparently it was an issue with my DS3

Well I got to Zeus on Titan but didn't feel like spending hours learning the fight so I switched to easy and raped his face. Whatever, I have a titan save right before him - I'll do it again some time! Great ending.

Ok so I'm now at Hephaestus (Rip Torn FTW!)

The whole scaling olympus section of gameplay was absolutely mind-blowing. I was literally so overhwelmed by the horse-crab at certain points, i was just randomly mashing buttons hoping to be effective and it kinda worked lol

The ending of that whole part with Poseidon in human form was also extremely badass.

anyways, so far, amazing. every minute of it. The epic scale of everything is just beyond belief.

This is one of the best console games I have ever played. Epic. Amazing visuals that give the PC a run for the money.

Are the items (Herme's shoes, bow, Helios head...) useful in combat?

Definitely. I abused the crap out of the shoes and the bow... I used Helios' head on quite a few regular enemies... not much on any boss battles or anything.

I haven't used either of them for dick. I upgraded the bow just once simply because I had a few orbs to dump into it.

IMO, MOWTIN, pour everything you got into the blades. After they're at the next to highest level, go through the other weapons and bump them all up 1 level then keep going for the final level for the blades.

I thought that hades claws would be a lot cooler than they actually are. That soul grab thing that dumps skulls all over the place is about worthless but I think if powered up high enough, the summons could be pretty good but IMO, the sheer amount of catastrophic damage the blades of exile are capable of producing on mobs is insane.

The cestus can do a lot of damage to groups of enemies but you have to be a lot closer to them for it to be effective.

IMO the whole repeated grab pull shoulder ram thing is so effective (it even pulls the wraiths out of the ground!) it may as well be the only thing you do the whole game. Works on bosses and enemies that are blocking. Only the onyx shields can stop it.

For those of you who have beat the game, I'm at Poseidon's chamber. how far into the game am I?
