Default No Splinter Cell: Conviction Demo for PC

http://news.bigdownload.com/2010/03/...ll-conviction/

Tomorrow the Demo releases for the X360, no such demo will be making its way to the PC. Im guessing this is due to a limitation of their DRM.

Quote:
The Twitter page for Ubisoft community developer Li Kuo delivered the bad news today, saying, "Sorry guys, tomorrow's demo is for X360 only. There are no plans for a PC demo." Looks like PC gamers will actually have to buy and play the full game, with Ubisoft's "Always On" connection, when it's released in mid-April.

No buy for me. I am slightly interested in the game, but after all of the changes they have made to the series, I need to try it before I buy it and I refuse to turn my RRoD_box on anymore, so I guess I just won't buy this game.

Eh, at one point in time this game series was my favorite. It has been downhill since the original. No longer interested in it.

See no point why Magnus really needs to post crap like this.

Why is this a surprise? It's not a 360 exclusive because of any other reason than the DRM on the PC. They won't ship a DRM free demo executable for fear pirates could use it to make a DRM free version of the game executable later. Their server's probably couldn't take the load a PC demo would generate and I am sure they'd hate to actually say the demo requires a constant internet connection to play and all the bad press that it would generate.
