lmao @ the reviews....
yea i think it will end up @ 900. this means the 5870 might drop in price a bit, also the x2 version as well. And the performance of the gtx480 has to be at least double of a single 5870 to make that price of $900. Good news is that i will be going ATi this time as well, only thing that will change my mind to go for the GTX480 will be the performance justify the cost. |

Price for preorder is high but I think the launch price for GTX 480 will be $599 MSRP and $499 MSRP for GTX 470.

They got the framebuffer size wrong, but I'm sure, they're right about the price

I dunno. To me it just seems a good way to get a lot of people on the site. It's too early for pre-orders, especially without knowing the specs. Smells like BS to me.

Price : $299 "Which means from a price stand point it’s going to compete directly against that model (HD5850), no doubt NVIDIA will be aiming the performance of the model more around the HD 5870 area though." Very interesting ![]() Btw, that SabrePc site appears to be fake according to some of my sources. |

On the other hand, that seems too cheap, but I guess it depends how capable the card is. Hope it's right, tho

That seems too good to be true. I was expecting something more like $359-399 for GTX 470 and $499-549 for GTX 480.
$299 for GTX 470, that's as fast as HD 5870 and faster with tesselation, hmmm, would love to see that, just because of Charlie and his worshipers ![]() I guess cleaning crews would be really busy with all the ![]() |
