Question Is it possible to rotate screen using NVIDIA X Server Settings?

Hello, I am using ubuntu 9.10 and driver 195.36.08

I manage to use a rotated screen by inserting manually in xorg.conf:
Option "Rotate" "Left"

This line does not seem to be parsed by the "NVIDIA X Server Settings" app. I wonder if this is the reason, why I cannot dynamically change the resolution of my 2nd screen using "Apply" in the "X Server Display Configuration" panel. I would like to switch this 2nd screen between 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 without having to reboot (stop all apps, restart apps).

Default Feature suggestion: rotate screen using NVIDIA X Server Settings

It seems that it is not possible to rotate screen using NVIDIA GUI.
That would be a nice feature.

Default Re: Is it possible to rotate screen using NVIDIA X Server Settings?

It is possible.

Option "RandRRotation" "true"

Put this in the "device" section of your /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Thanks a lot Fuchs! It works perfectly.

Do you know why this option is not actived by default?
It would be easier for noobs like me.
