I am still fiddling with the demo... but now I don't know if I'll get this game. All of a sudden I get way lower fps than I had before they made any updates to the demo. It only happens when I look into the distance at a town or whatever. This never happened before and I was always above 50fps with 8xAA and SSAO at medium. I even lowered AA and SSAO to low and same issue.

Does the full game run better?

Play the mission "Stranded" to figure out that island.

I just got the full game, and I like it. The acting is pretty bad but I find it amusing. To me it was worth the money even though I paid full price. I am still not too accustomed to the controls. The whole grapple to the top of the building to save that guy in the beginning area was kind of difficult for me. There are times I want to use a controller and other times I want to use the mouse. Overall I think it was worth the money, but definitely try the demo first.

Just a heads up to anyone with the PC limited edition.
the voucher says log onto GFWL, but that doesnt work apparantly.
Banged my head against that wall for a while as it wouldnt accept the code, and swore at the involvement of GFWL and its innevitable fail.

However googling the issue it turns out you need to use "Activate a product on Steam" and type the key in there.
So the voucher in the box was wrong, strangely enough.

I didn't know there was a limited edition... EU only I am guessing.

The US manual mentions GFWL as well, despite it not being a GFWL game. One assumes it was going to be at one point and then they changed it.

I am liking the game a lot, but I don't like the vehicle controls at all with the kb/mouse. It's really hard to control, one mission I did over and over several times because I just couldn't get the motorcycle to work right. I got past it because the one I was chasing crashed into another vehicle, if it didn't I'd probably have been playing that section a significantly longer time.

The PC LE was EU only and it had all the DLC that was split up here in the US and given to various retailers as DLC exclusives for preordering. I got a rifle since I bought from Amazon, I think gamestop got a revolver, but funny, steam got nothing AFAIK.

Interesting.

Make Just Cause 2 a whole lot more fun with this trainer, which lets you use multiple tether ropes at once to cause a whole lot of chaos. You can also turn on infinite health and infinite ammo, among other options, if you fancy.

This game runs better with the D3D Overrider enabled. See the thread about it.

Too complicated. PC gamers like games simple and easy. This is a console port, so it has dual guns, grappling, parachuting, driving, flying, planting explosives, missions, sandboxing.

These guys like point and shoot like Crysis.

awwwww, muuuhahahaha.

A real kickarse game, lots to do and from what I can see it's a good port and uses DX10. It has some quiet nice NVIDIA graphics features which enhance the look.

I really need to get a GTS250 because the CUDA water really hurts my performance and so does the SSAO.
