Default Support for GeForce GT 320M?

Recently I got a quite nice laptop from Asus - K70I Series. Unfortunately its GPU - GT 320M isn't supported officially by nvidia drivers. After installing a Karmic Ubuntu on this machine, I got only puny 800x600 resolution. Installation of nouveau drivers has helped - I got 24 bit 1600x900 resolution. Unfortunately nouveau lacks composite/3d support, so I am thinking about replacing this machine on something else.

Do Nvidia has any plans to officially support GT 320M chipset for Linux? Is there any timeline for that? Or maybe someone had luck with running current 195 version of drivers on such machine?

Thanks for your help.

(lspci shows my videocard as
VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Device 0a2d (rev a2)
Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Device 1312)

Please see the forum sticky posts about how to report a problem, particularly the one about how to generate an nvidia-bug-report.log.gz file.

I didn't even report a problem. I've just asked about Nvidia plans for supporting GT 320M in linux drivers. Until now I haven't found answers for this question already posted on this forum.

jOoK3r: Where did you find the information that 195.36.15 driver supports GT 320M GPU? I can see just GT 330M in the list of supported graphic cards. My laptop has GT 325M GPU and does not work with 195.36.15 driver
