I made a stupid mistake configuring twinview.
I have a laptop with analog vga output and i hooked up my tv and had it working side by side in twinview by enabling those features in nvidia-settings the problem is that after reboot the tv was made primary screen and now i can't use the laptop without hooking it up to the tv, because somehow display 0.0 is now the tv, even if it is not connected. Now i can not get it back. is there some way i can reset those settings outside of X ? i noticed that ~/.nvidia-settings-rc has a really old change time, are settings stored somewhere else ? (xorg.conf was not changed) Last edited by ursvik; 03-26-10 at 03:13 AM. Reason: clarity |

I'm not sure how you would have configured that sort of setup without changing xorg.conf... The easiest thing to try would be to rename xorg.conf and generate a new one by running nvidia-xconfig.
It would be useful to see your actual xorg.conf file, or better yet, an nvidia-bug-report.log. |
