Yes I am and i'm sure jAkUp already has his. He is probably hard out benching them.

Gaming wise I am not too impressed, at least it is somewhat faster. I like to see when folks get them how well they OC vice possibly cherry picked cards sent out to the reviewers. My 5870 goes up to 950mhz without issue, havn't tried faster yet since I am so CPU limited it becomes pointless (Dirt2).

Now the other stuff is rather awesome, GPU computing wise this thing is a beast! Wish more programs actually did use this side of things, in the future I believe it will be more so. Love to have and be able to afford a good renderer like VRay using a GPU for processing. So a Fermi maybe in my future but it will probably be a refresh B1? or next version. It is just to hot, noisey and power consuming for a little faster result in what I do. Getting a second 5870 would make more sense for me if I want more performance, except I am already cpu limited even with a Q6600 at 3.4ghz. So a new cpu/motherboard/ram is in my future first.

I have 3dVision glasses but no monitor yet to use them with, the guy I was going to buy the monitor from dropped it when he was packing it up to send to me. Glad he was a honest guy. So my 260 will have to do for that in my other machine. Maybe Christmas will be a better time for Fermi, at present it is great Nvidia has something out but still not ready for allot of folks.

Maybe I'll change to EVGA in case they show up in time.

No info about availability but I'm in no rush anyway. Just wanted to pre-order and that's done
Nice

We'll be interested to hear about your experiences with them (when you get the time).

Every other way they are what I expected. Too hot, too loud and not that it matters to me, but too inefficient for their die size. It will be hard to NV to make a good profit on these cards at the moment. On top of that, with GTX 480 consuming 14w more under full load than 5970, it seems they already can't stay within the PCIe 2.1 envelope - a dual GPU card seems out of the question until Q3-Q4.

On the whole too little too late and too inefficient in just about every way. I'd hate to say it but it seems like charlie was pretty much spot on aside from being a bit too pessimistic on the performance.
The only problem with the GTX 480 right now is its price. 500€ is too much when you can get two 5850s for the same amount of $€. The cf setup would outperform the GTX 480 in almost every benchmark and stay cooler while using less W. While a CF setup isn't ideal, I'd still say it's the better deal here.
Think the GTX 480 refresh is going to rock though as the current cards already scale very well with higher clockspeeds!

GTA4 showed some promising results for the gtx480 over the 5870....dunno if its something always strong for nvidia but...that game does show the 480 has a lot of juice....just that it also can melt your computer...

GTA IV is kind of a question-mark for me as the game is still vmem-limited and by turning up the settings high-enough, the 5870 with its 1Gb wouldn't stand a chance. Comparing it to the 2Gb version would be more than fair.

I`m glad to see the shock wave from the initial reviews is almost over and people are starting to see the potential of the new fermi cards. As the drivers mature, I think the 470/480 will continue to get better and faster. I personally think that the power and heat issue is being blown out of proportion, after all these are enthusiast cards. We have to give them a chance to fail, and if they can`t take it they can`t stay. Buy from a company with a good warranty and a reputation of backing there product so you can have fun and not worry if it fails.

Lol I didn't count jakup because he probably has 3 or 4 of them in tri or quad SLI, not our weak two card SLI setups.

Looks like there's some massive headroom on these cards, but it seems like they need better memory, and of course you need some really good cooling as well. If NVIDIA can somehow get temps down, these cards will really have room to stretch.

Holy crap that's a nice OC! Now if someone could push one to ~1000Mhz on water I'd have to reconsider getting one.
