Is there really any games out there that need these insane heat and noise output cards ?

I'm not paying 1k for an extra effect i wouldnt even notice, nor am i going to wear those ridulous 3d glasses, my eyes are screwed already from 20 years of gaming, i can imagine what wearing these glasses for a few years of gaming would do haha.

Seriously 3d glasses went out in the 50's didn't they ?
Just sold my GTX260 and upgraded to a Powercolor 5870.....HUGE improvement. Crysis.Crysis warhead maxed out @1920x1200 with Nat mod and 8AA.....nice.

Don't get me wrong, the GTX260 served me well and still is a great card, but the 5870 is in a different league. Dirt2, BFBC2 Dx11 is sweeeeet!!

The problem is that you have to prove that's what they're doing. And you can't even begin to attempt that until you can verify that they release a hotfix for the issue that degrades performance yet fixes the IQ.

Driver bugs happen all the time.. hardly means they're a cheat. There are hundreds of thousands of things to keep track of in a driver set to ensure that it's optimized for the right things on the right apps on the right configurations. Takes a lot of work and so bugs are inevitable.

It's OK if it is your conclusion but than just maybe such wording should not be used in the link to the site even more so since few on this forum speak German and they might think it's a direct quote from the article.

Also just maybe we should wait for AMD response.

I didn't read the article before posting that link - I found it on Xtremesystems and assumed the guy who posted a thread about it there had read it, but apparently that wasn't the case.
Going to be interesting to see what AMD has to say about this.

You mean like you and others have done in the past and even as current as the GTX480 launch and Nvidia?

If you bothered to read the write up Kyle and Brent did( i think it was brent), ATI cards also suffer the same affect when 4xMSAA is enabled. So, yes it is a bug.

I know. He is negative Nvidia anywhere he posts. [H], B3D, hell I'd even bet Rage3D. Why is he allowed here and Rollo and his over centric attitude not again? Hell, even Shadow is severely negative with his postings.
