That is what I would think. There will probably be a limited jAkUp run with the full 512 shaders and more power consumption. Speaking of jAkUp, where is his new setup. Surely he must have done one by now.

I'd go with two 5850s instead of two 470s in SLi. The 5850s overclock incredibly well and perform almost as well at stock clocks as the GTX 470. Getting them to ~1Ghz/1.25Ghz is easy.
They perform within a 2% margin of the 5870 at the same clocks(850/1200).

Well Charlie got the part wrong about the hardware Tessellation.

The new DX 11 tessellation unit is programmable though two new shaders, the Domain and Hull shader. The higher the level of tessellation, the closer to realism the sharpness of the surface approaches. NVIDIA's HW Tesselation is implemented extremely well.

It looks good enough for me, that's for sure.

Where's jAkUp's new Rig. Surely he has his 2 or 3 cards by now. None down here in NZ as yet.

That really cracked me up. CCC 10.3a fixed 75% of my issues with the current setup and if this is indication of the future releases including 2D performance fix i think i am on right track...waiting for 3rd HD5870, already running evga 4 way SLI board to handle all three.

It is a shame that both Crossfire and SLI can't scale to at least 80% in all games. Man that would make them mandatory for all if they did.
