don't forget, Ati is several driver revisions up on Nvidia by now.
But what I want to see is a 5970 crossfire comparison thrown in the bag.
That and overclock vs overclock scores. Especially since the 59's are underclocked so much.

Indeed, some of the Nvidia guys are already claiming the 480 beats the 5970 based on that bench. I wish people could excercise some common sense.

That will be some serious horse power you have there. I'd be very interested to see how it scales. If you have the time that is.

I will do some benches, running i920 C0 @ 3.8Ghz.

I know, but is it due to a cpu limitation?.

6 Core running around 4.5 Ghz should do a trick

What I would really like to see is the minimum frame rates. No one has posted them from what I have seen. This is more important than the highest numbers. That is of course unless the highest numbers are only in the low 30's.

Luckly it's only 3pm down here. Just wish the shops had stocks of the cards so I can get some.

Hmm... so, what's the current status of the hacked Physx drivers for use with ATI+Nvidia Physx?

And do you think my power supply could handle running a 5870 and a GTX 260 for Physx?

That's the deciding factor for me right now since the performance doesn't seem to be worth the price or the outrageous heat output. Plus, turning physx on in any games will drop the performance even further (due to SPs being used for physx rather than shaders) so that makes the performance in Physx enabled games even less impressive.

Basically, I've been waiting a while to play most Physx enabled games at max settings in all their glory and I was hoping the GTX480 would allow that, but it just doesn't seem to be the best value at this point.
