I just get a string of errors referencing files not found and then a cannot load OS error. Not quite sure what happened, but I'll fix it.

So far, I'm digging this latest Ubuntu. About to try the latest Kubuntu in a few moments.

Everything is really fast on this SSD as well.

I'm running this off a pen drive at the moment - wish I didn't have to work today so I could spend some time on this.

Absolutely ridiculous how fast this OS is, and it's not even installed on an internal drive yet....

Get an SSD if you really want yer' socks blown off.

I'm going through all my old hardware trying to see what works and what doesn't... I'll be pairing the SSD up with an oldy Opty 165 and single core A64 3800 today... curious how "fast" those rigs will be.

And once I can get a SATA controller card I'll be trying it out in an AXP 3200 rig.

Both Ubuntu and Kubuntu.

It was weird cause yesterday that Core2 rig was faster than my i7 setup... all cause of that lil' SSD.

Nah, my socks are doing fine where they're at.

I'll install to an old 80Gb WD SATA when I get time ..... someday....

I used to just install to a second drive... but I found that somehow I always managed to bork my windows install. So now, I'm just devoting a second rig to dabbling with Linux. Figure that way I wont really break anything important.

I am still loving Lubuntu on my netbook. its amazing. I was issued a macbook pro at work and when i have time, im going to USB Ubuntu on it to see how fast that runs.

So far everything about this has been too painless

Install was a no brainer, running the latest beta drivers for my GTX 470. So far everything just works.

Time to start tweaking - this may be a keeper.
