The cards have had an updated bios from the initial cards sent out to reviewers. There has been a big improvement, that's for sure.

My case has an intake right dead in front of them that feeds them air though.
The TJ10 is a very good case for cooling the Grapics cards. I did change the Fan in mine, to a more powerful one. It pumps way more air into the case.

Yeah, can't understand it myself. If he prefers ATI, then that's fine. But he shouldn't bag Nvidia, just to justify his purchase.

Let me help you understand: It was a joke. NV themselves made the joke. Lighten up fellers.

It's not the video. I thought it was pretty funny. It is his last few posts, I think he needs to get laid. He really is so negative.

I really don't understand some people's need to tear down other people based on their purchasing choices. I just purchased 2 5870s (that's a total of 4 I've purchased) and I had a 5970 that I sold. I also just purchased 2 480s (that should ship next week). I like the ATI cards but I have this disease that forces me to purchase new tech (it's like the Dark side of the force). People should just enjoy what they have and stop worrying about what other people spend their money on.

Right here,and it's cheaper too:

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...ure=PowerColor

They are 900$ canadian, but come with a water block built in,which would allow overclocks well above 900Mhz on the cores and 1300Mhz on the memory....Users wouldn't need a 500$ motherboard featuring 4 PCI-e X16 slots either, and the system would also be quiet as well because of the water cooling....

4 of those GTX480's at NCIX can total 2200$ + another 500$ for that EVGA X58 Classified motherboard shown in the picture, and all the cards are using their stock air coolers, not waterblocks like the powercolor link above,so it isn't far from a 3000$ total once taxes and shipping costs are figured in,and it would likely be noisy with those 4 cards packed so close together.

It's not that hard to match that performance wise, and much cheaper basically....

Personally, I think Quad SLI is a waste, but a 5970 isn't going to match it or even come close. Even two won't come close, so while it's definitely cheaper you aren't going to match the performance with anything else.

Well, given that i own a pair of HD5970's since last november, and that even on the stock coolers, they can still run at the same clocks as HD5870 cards do(850/1200),hence why i linked to water cooled versions of the same cards,so that clocks can go even higher still, while keeping temperatures in control and the overall system pretty quiet, and still much cheaper overall..

given what we've seen so far, those that are insisting on getting these cards,is mostly because they're made by their favorite company, which is just as good a reason as any,but it isn't so much for the performance advantage they have over the competition, which was released 1/2 a year ago btw...

I was talking about a pair of them btw,so it's still 4 GPU's versus 4 GPU's in the end.
