I assume it must be in AHCI mode.

TRIM is most definately running still, did the command prompt check.

Benchies also hover or go just over the 250MB mark for read and write.

Think i'm going to let it be before I benchmark it to death, poor SSD.

yeah i've read that it's around 680ish.
I ran the tests to see if my raid had degraded any since the last time I posted some disk benches. Looks like they haven't

Be amazed if anything is under 25-30 seconds with all that POST stuff going on.

New OCZ IBIS drives. So fast it's sickening

700 MB/sec in both read and write performance

It's really weird to think that I can see myself upgrading my SSD long before anything else in my system. Hard drives use to be a non-luxury item.

I have a question as I have read all pages.

It seems that after a year or something the SSD drive starts to slow down even if trim is on my question is can you keep the drive at day 1 speed for 2-3 years? Or do I have it wrong and the drive never slows down with trim on years down the road?

Even with TRIM there will be some performance degradation, but it will be far less. I still format every 6 months or so as I did with mechanical hard drives. Not because of SSD performance, but because of a noticeable overall performance decrease with Windows itself.
