OK, got one Vertex3 for xmas, cant decide if I should purchase another for RAID 0 or not. Would it be wasting my money for no real good reason because 1 drive is plenty fast, or is there still some good speed reasons to run RAID 0 with SSD drives?

I'd stick with one drive unless you need the space of two drive as one big one, or extra speed with large files.

I have an OCZ drive and they are really good. 60Gb would be the bear minumim, I would use though. It would be better if you waited and got a 90 or 120 like I have.

Yeah I've got 30GB in use on mine after just the OS and a few apps/utilities/photoshop files on it. That's with the page file disabled, but if you shut down system restore you can reclaim more space.

I must say though I agree with those that say a SSD is the best upgrade you can currently make for a modern PC, since anytime you're waiting you're waiting on the disk drive. Most programs open instantly and windows is ready to go before I am.

It's nice to see my CPU utilization so high now, since it doesn't have to sit around waiting on the disk drive anymore. It actually gets a workout now when I'm not gaming. lol

I got the 120GB 520 this morning. That one year validation thing Anand mentioned, also surprised me. Hope it has the same problem-free duty as my trusty M25G2. Anyway, spend all evening backing up stuff from the old installation, hoping to install fresh Vista64 in the next few days.

Nah. It's a proven fact if you buy one yer' outies gonna' become an innie', yer' car will break down within the following week, yer' boss will likely fire you within two weeks, and yer' woman is pretty much guaranteed to leave you and take everything of yours with her within' a month.
