I sure am loving BF: Vietnam at 1920x1080 with everything cranked and 16xAA/16xAF. Hell, it never drops below 60fps so it's all gravy. For the resolution I'm running things at, it's just about perfect.

Battlefield honestly doesn't look that much better in comparison to when I was running it with all medium settings at 1080 with no AA but I notice no slowdown when smoke is around now.

I've also got a new pair of Sennheiser 595s on the way!
I'm using the 595's myself. Awesome headphones.

Just got my EVGA 580 SC yesterday to upgrade from a GTX 280. Quite a nice bump running at 2560x1600. Only thing I noticed is that it gets a bit hotter than other people are reporting. I'm hitting about 86C at load. Also, because I'm running dual monitors, the card never idles at 51mhz so my idle temps are a lot higher than they should be at about 60C. I really wish they'd fix that bug.

I did notice that overclocking the card beyond the stock overclock does not seem to make temps any higher. Currently I'm running at 840/1680/2060 rock solid and plan on going for higher.

Can you try something for me and see if it helps. I was able to get mine to idle at 51Mhz by dropping the Hz on my 120Hz LCD to 110. Maybe if you set it to 59Hz it may do the same.

I don't have the option for 59hz in my control panel for my main monitor (Dell 3007WFP-HC) but I do for my secondary display, which is currently set to 59hz. The moment I disable my secondary monitor the GPU starts to idle down to 51mhz. I did also notice that when dual monitors are enabled and the displays go to sleep, the card does idle at 51mhz.

It's not that big of a deal really since I don't leave this machine on 24/7 and the fact that the card idles properly when the displays are asleep is enough for me.

Not really, other than BFBC2 seems to be playing a little smoother. I will test out more tonight...

That's the route I'm going. I already have one PNY GTX 570.
Not sure if anything can really push SLI'd 570's at 1920 x 1080 now (new Dell U2311H IPS monitor as well ).
