I am running 64bit Ubuntu preloaded with engineering software (CAELinux). I need 3D acceleration for several packages. My machine has the Nvidia GT230 chipset.
I have been unable to find linux drivers for me card. However, I have seen recent forum posts (less than a few months old) linking to beta drivers on Nvidia's website. Responses in the forum thread seem to indicate that the drivers worked. However, the links to the drivers no longer work and there are no linux drivers for my card on the Nvidia website. Is there somewhere else I can go for a driver? Can I expect a driver to be made available? Was there a driver available? If I find it should I not use it? Thank you, - Matthew Bondy |

The latest drivers can be found here ... http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=122606
Do an install and maybe you'll surprise yourself. |
