I'm glad the rockstar social club will be (mostly?) gone. Where do you get the patch from? http://www.rockstargames.com/support...tch/index.html only has 1.0.0.4 from November 2009. Is it a .cab file?

I know when i started GTA4 after patch there is live marketplace, and you can download both DLCs from LIVE for 1200 points each, and they are only about 3GB each. Why can't they release DLCs on steam, instead of 16GB standalone download ![]()

As the screenshots show, you can play the episodes from within GTA IV if you like but from what I've heard, the episodes install in their own directory. |

NOTE: im sure this will come up
ALL STEAM CD-KEYS are INVALID in new ROCKSTAR GAMES Securom Activation. http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=1224295 if Steam forces your GTA4 to update, you will be greeded with Activation box, that won't work. NOTE: PRESS CANCEL, and GAME WILL START ANYWAY

Looks like you'll be re-downloading the entire Liberty City (if you already have GTA IV) if you get the retail/Steam version. Also, in reading from other boards, the retail/Steam version has 50 new songs. If you get each DLC from GfWL, you do not get the 50 new songs. I prefer Steam, but if this is the case, I'll just get the 2 DLCs from GfWL |

So if you're a new GTA4 owner you still have to install SC in order then patch it to remove it.
![]() And 16Gigs?!! I wouldn't even dl that much if it was free.

Thanks, I got the patch. I can't login to my rockstar online account now, it keeps saying invalid username (even though there's no place to enter a username). Maye it's the "+" in my email address... Oh well, I never used the social club anyway. I wish they would have removed the cd check.

When you launch the game now, you get the same launcher you can hit play offline. Then it comes up within the game interface and lets you choose GTA IV or EFLC. So you can run either GTA IV or GTA EFLC and it gets you to the same place now with the latest GTA IV patch.
GTA IV runs the same for me but looks alot better, the in game benchmark gives me 66.8 FPS. For some reason the in game benchmark in EFLC still gives me 47.8 FPS average. |
