Thumbs up Revolution OS: How FOSS and Linux came to be.

I just thought I'd post this http://stagevu.com/video/gplkfhejhren .Run time 1hour 25 minutes.

A film about how Free Open Source Software and Linux came to be and why. It might bust a few myths you have about Linux, Open Source and Free Software. Enjoy.

I'll have to check this out... Got a few lost/flash forward episodes to catch up on.

I've had a few discussions about this in the past and it is interesting how things came to be. The stuff about bell labs, IBM, system5, and SCO/UNIX. Fuzzy details to say the least. I'll watch it tomorrow when I get a chance

You're gonna get p1ssed. Lost will p1ss you off.

re: the OT, I remember doing quite a bit of reading about Linux back in '99, and I really though at that point or at least a couple years from then that it would start to become a consumer-friendly OS that was a popular alternative to Windows. .. As it turns out it look a few more years, as IMO the first real n00b friendly Linux was the 2007 releases of Ubuntu.

I'll definitely check this movie out. It'll get my mind off of how p1ssed I am at Lost.
