Default Firefox 3.6.3 - Slowest Fox EVAR!

Have you noticed it or just me. The reason I created my last thread wondering on how to make my PC faster was because firefox is soooooo slow ever since I updated. Now I realize that other people have found out that this version is terrible compared to say 3.6.2
I don't know if I want to downgrade, if its worth it I mean. (Plug ins might break, and IDK, hassle)

Do you guys have a very slow start up with Firefox 3.6.3?

LOL, 1 minute after I created this thread, it got my brain thinking. I decided to remove some extensions, and after 10 seconds of uninstalling. It booted up like a champ.
Problem solved, remove plugins that you don't use. I have a feeling it is the java console, because the person that had the same problem as me had that extension. Remove them, and that should make it a ton faster on start up.

FINALLY FAST!

Welcome to chrome

http://www.google.com/chrome

Firefox will be history

And the extensions don't slow it down like Firefox.

I like Firefox. When chrome gets AdBlock Plus properly working, ill be first in line, till then, no thanks.

EDIT:
I have Chrome already, and used to use it often during the past week because of firefox being slow.

Now that intrigues me, as the extension/plug-in loading mechanism is based on the NSAPI, which is the same powering Firefox, hmmm...

But yeah... WebKit really rocks, just tested it under Linux, it was blazing fast, although still has its _BIG_ dose of little quirks, maybe I'll give it a try on the next 10K revision mark.

Well, I decided to do a little test. I opened Chrome and Firefox at the same time, and Chrome opened faster than I blinked my eyes.
You have no idea how shocked I was. Firefox is off from the taskbar. And Chrome is here for now. IDK what I'll do later, I wish Chrome had a AdBlock Plus, not just AdBlock. I like that you can select from clicking what you want to block, thats neat, and useful. but not like FireFox, where u need to do nothing.

I'll use chrome once something like noscript is working on it. Noscript is just too useful, in fact it is only one of three addons I use (gmail notifier and cookiesafe being the other two.)

Yea, I notice it when I open a site and at the bottom it says loading googleads.doubleclick.net for about 10 seconds, when it takes 2 seconds to load the page without it...

If you think about it, all these sites you visit for free have costs associated with them.

I see no issue with a second or two of screen time devoted to those ads to benefit the place I am visiting. I am not going to be a DB and just leech

I've started using Chrome again at work since it takes FF so long to launch to a blank page.

FF hasn't been like it used to be since 3.5 IMO, but it's not bad enough warrant changing.... yet.
