Just started playing this one. Not bad. unique presentation. Great performance once I setup a proper SLI profile.

LMAO!! He's still funny, and I found that review amusing, I'll never play this new crazy splinter cell though, cause it's pretty much blown way out of proportion. It's like watching 24 and thinking to yourself, WOW this is really not ever possible, and it has gone WAY overboard.

Seriously, the first couple, maybe even the 3rd SC was great! But after that, don't dumb down a game, freakin seriously!?! Your gamers don't get worse, they get better, so challenge them, don't open it up only for a bunch more noobs!?! I know that seems like more money, but really where the "more money" lies, is in making a GREAT game! Then reviews, word of mouth, and actual play time will speak for itself, and ultimately PAY for itself!

He gives a bad review of everything more or less... except portal (which is totally understandable)

I personally didn't like conviction much, they stripped out so much of the tactical stuff and converted it to a basic third person shooter that focused a bit more on making sure you stay in cover and using (abusing) the mark and execute feature. I don't like the greyscale stealth and I did not like the full action sequence. Even the 100% stealth required section was poorly executed and made not being able to move bodies completely insulting. I personally hated the auto fail mission in the previous splinter cell games and it was the only really splinter cell mission yet they pick the worst aspect (instant fail) and try to go with it.

The multiplayer on the PC is not even worth bothering with, it's just a mess with ubisoft servers down every so often and long long wait times. Even when I got a few matches I was disconnected after minutes.

Overall I think this game is very shallow, the level design is very contrived and I didn't really think the story was that good either. If they were trying to make Sam out to be a jerk, they succeeded. I give this game a 7/10

It just doesn't make sense to play the same part over and over again when you just can press F5 normally... Took me over one hour to get to the elevator, I don't have time for this
Well, obviously you do.

The reason I thought you might have been was because I vaguely recalled someone mentioning that once after I posted some SSs... hmmm. Never mind.

I agree Slawter, it's not like the classic SC games but it is still a good game. A Predator-like shooter, very slick and polished, mark and execute is optional. I enjoyed it.

I liked mark and execute. It encouraged me to survey a room, pick off one or two stragglers, find an entry point and enter and clear, much like a real life agent would.
