I don't know how good the stock coolers are on AMD processors these days, but I can only imagine how well this would do on water or a good Zalman copper HSF.

I have the x4 3Ghz in a 4u rack case. I use a Thermalright SI-128 se Heatpipe and Nexus 120mm PWM fan. It takes all 4 cores maxed with a stress test to get the cpu to the 40c trip point to move the fan of idle.
