By the way, I did see 2 TV's at CES that used alternate technologies. I don't remember which companies they where from, but they where smaller companies I had not heard of...

One did not require any glasses, but just as with any other tech like this, you have to be at a precise viewing angle for it to work (which is lame for a large screen TV) (See the Nintendo 3DS)

The other used Polarized glasses, and I have to say it was the best looking 3D I saw at CES. I'll try to find more info a bit later...

+ if you have a family with 3 or 4 kids or say you want multiple people watching 3d movies, you have to buy multiple glasses so that's $100 - $150 x 3 or more. And that your kids take good care of those glasses.....yeah right. I think 3d is here to stay but the glasses technology should and will go away. But there's always a beginning.....b/w tvs, color tvs, hd tvs.

Why can't they make the TV manipulate the image so you just use the cheap 3D glasses that we use at the movie theater...
