My gtx 470 didn't overclock well. Took voltage up to 0.962v and couldn't get 1615 shader clock to not crash the driver. Not to mention gpu temp hitting 90c under 100% fanspeed fullload. For fun its nice but for gaming 100% fan speed isn't ideal anyway. Was just curious how far I could take it. And the memory is even worse +100 mhz and get artifacts.

Need to up the voltage to 1.250 - 1.350, then crank it up.

Yeah, he's joking, but .962 is pretty low voltage for an overclock. Many 470's come stock at as high as 1.037. I'm willing to bet your card will overclock much higher than you think.
