Almost finished with the game I think. Story is good, but the gameplay can be annoying. Picking locks is easy, hacking some keypads isn't too bad... but hacking computers is the most retarded thing ever. It was clearly made by a retard. Why can I not just use the actual mouse pointer to point at the right sequence? Retarded. Another thing I hate is the dialogue system... I am fine with a time limit, but sometimes it goes by too quickly.

The hacking minigame is indeed retarded.

I don't even like minigames in general, let alone bad ones.

So far this is the biggest mess that Obsidian released, seriously how did this game pass QA testing?

AI is beyond stupid.
Camera/Controls feels weird, movement feels unnatural, its like a game from mid 90s with better visuals.
And WTF is up with that computer hacking, move one side with WASD (or arrows) second side with a mouse, who invented that crap.

Oh, and during conversations, when its time to respond, I only see 3 or sometimes 4 dots, there are no words, just dots, how the hell am i supposed to know what to say.
I played it with my 360 pc pad, since the PC version is a straight port with pretty crap control adaptation the pad worked a hell of a lot better.

If you really want AA I am pretty sure the top choice is always aggressive, the left choice always suave, the right choice always professional and the bottom one always physical action.

Sometime bottom is class specific, mainly Veteran and Rookie, or if you have advanced one skill enough you'll unlock special actions.

I tried the pad, but the mouse is way better for aiming, especially quick critical shots from behind cover. Once you get critical high enough for pistols. You are more or less invincible.

Yup.

I have heard the game plays a lot different with assault rifles, I'm looking forward to a replay someday.

Nah, the terribly implemented minigames should make you frustrated enough to quit the game at times...

Well it depends... if you devote yourself to one or two abilities and max them quickly then you do get a bit overpowered, but if you spread it out more you can be very underpowered. I would say if you know how to work the RPG system hard mode might be advised...

I never felt the game would be better on hard mode though, playing on normal.

If you play on hard the mini games will kill you as the game scales those as well. They are near impossible early in the game.

Just finished it... decent game overall, but the problems are insane. SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last level was retarded on my playthrough... I ended up having to shoot a helicopter about 7 times with a rocket launcher, and then a few more shots with my pistol (yes, my handgun) to destroy it. For a game with the worst shooting mechanics ever they tried to make sure to force you to adapt to the garbage mechanics for this last retarded section. I also loved how after I shot a rocket launcher it would pull out my shotgun even though I maxed out my pistol skill and used the shotgun once or twice through the entire game. But of course that is the one I want to pull out... the gun I have ZERO skill in.
