May 5, 2010 - Ubisoft has confirmed to IGN the title of the next Assassin's Creed game.

A purported GameStop reservation placeholder card for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood has been leaked early by an employee. Ubisoft said the image below is authentic and that they'll have more information next week.

The game will be released this fall for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The details listed on the back of the card align with what Ubisoft has already confirmed, such as the inclusion of Ezio and the location, Rome.

"Live and breathe as Ezio, now a legendary master assassin, in his struggle against the Templar order. Lead your own brotherhood of Assassins and strike at the heart of the enemy. Rome," the card says, according to Kotaku.

"And for the first time, take part in an innovative multiplayer layer allowing you to embody an assassin of your choosing and define their killing style. A never-before-seen online multiplayer experience. Lead your own brotherhood of assassins, as Ezio, and conquer Rome."

Pre-ordering the game at GameStop will give you an exclusive multiplayer character. No details on who that might be. It's expected Ubisoft will announce its fiscal quarterly results later this month.

So soon? I could care less about the added multiplayer. They better add and improve on several SP things too.

Ubisoft has released some juicy details, including multiplayer on the next iteration in the Assassin's Creed series. Coming some 12 months after the highly successful Assassin's Creed 2, the sequel will be shipping in late 2010 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood promises to continue the legend of Enzio as he takes to the streets of Rome in his battle against the evil and highly powerful Templar Order.

The main difference is that Enzio will not be working alone. As a Master Assassin, he must tackle the corrupt by hitting the source, ie, Rome, but this is not just a single-player game because there is a brand new multiplayer layer.

Ubisoft says that players can actually help the Templars by using Abstergo to train in the art of assassination to eliminate the Assassins for good.

They can choose from a wide range of unique characters, each with their own signature weapons and assassination techniques, and match their skills against other players from all over the world in different game modes.

Got Assassin's Creed Brotherhood through the post today from Game, and so far I am very impressed. It seems very well optimised. Currently running it maxed out and it seems very smooth and fluent, not noticed any slowdowns thus far. Only have it on x4 AA right now, but everything else is ramped upto the top with it on 120hz mode.

Going to give it a good FRAPs'ing to see how well it is actually running.

They may have improved on some things but they didn't even bother to fix the mouse acceleration problem.
