Default Killzone 3 announced with 3D support

Quote:
Killzone 3 picks up where its predecessor left off and itís a much grander experience in terms of scale and ambition. There will be more variety, more enemy types, massive environments and a broader vision of the planet Helghan and its many terrains. The presentation closed with a beautifully violent video montage of the Brutal Melee attacks, which are the new close range attacks...

Yes you will need a 3DTV but the image processing to 3D is done in realtime by the game, not the TV (there are TVs that convert 2D into 3D).

I know 3DTV's work by having a sensor on the tv that syncs with the glasses, but if nvidia 3D can do it without this (correct me if I'm wrong!) then why can't this game work on 240/200Hz TV's if you buy the glasses? I have a 200Hz TV which I won't be replacing anytime soon... I'm not that interested in 3DTV but 3D gaming could be worth it unless it means buying a new TV.

That said I only got through about an hour of KZ2. I hated the feel of it. I should give it another try though, I guess I just wasn't in the mood for that type of game at the time.

nVidia 3D does have little boxy kind of thing that is blugged to your USB, this is the sensor that syncs the glasses.

The animation in Killzone 2 was amazing... I didn't think the graphics were that good overall though, very muddy and aliased, but the animation was freaking amazing.

The game was meh though... I stopped playing when you had to defend that cannon thing or whatever it was.

So this will be out when? 2015-2016?

Doesn't matter for me, though. I still won't buy it. KZ2 was boring as all get out.
