Oh man, and to think I missed out on this gem, these gems actually.

All this anti-ATI sentiment and HATRED about their CRAPPY Linux support has just been snowballing and chiming away and I was completely oblivious to it!!!

And that while in the past it used to be the other way around :P

I recall that in 2002 someone adviced me to take an ATI card if I intended to play with Linux. Now I'm hearing the opposite. Really funny :P

Crappy is, my home PC is now running with a Radeon card since a few months because the last 2 Nvidia cards I had both just died on me without OC'ing and I intended to start doing stuff with Linux again at home :P

I am now using Linux in my other PC.. But i haven't got the problem.. I have read a forum here that is relevant to this problem just browse fro the topic.. It is also about Linux, I recommend that you search for it in some of the forums here because it really helped me in solving my problem.
