Is it worth stripping down my 470 ditching the cheesecloth and putting some good paste on everything???

I put some MX-3 on and got about 3-4c drop.
There was hardly paste on my ASUS 470 when I opened it up.

Ya but are the Mem chips using that cheesecloth **** due to a large gap between cooler and chips????
