Why hasn't a single subvendor released a non-reference GTX480? I've seen non-reference GTX465's and 470's, but not a single alternative cooling solution for the hottest running card in the series.

Evga has a watercooled version for the GTX480! If I went GTX480 I'd go for a watercooled version.Too bad they dont sell in Greece.

Welcome to nVNews, Ghost girl! We've got a great community here, feel free to hang out in any of our variety of subforums.
![]() I'd like to see some alternate, non-reference 480s as well. Sure, EVGA has the watercooled version, but it would be nice for an AIB to apply some optimizations to the PCB.

Why do you still have your fan connected?

Wich is also why many prefer the full waterblock so there's no need for the fan, less heat AND noise.

I really don't see how since the fan needs the shroud to direct airflow. But hey if it works that's great.
