Yeah- I didn't feel like playing through the game.

And I can tolerate as low as 20fps in Crysis... game still seems "smooth" to me. 30fps is just peachy where I can get it.

I think AA isn't working for me- hence why the frame rates are so high. I'll try a run through a few more locations, later in the game. Right now SLi x32Q AA is still on and it seemed to be working when I just fired up CS:S a few moments ago- maybe there's a bug specific to Crysis where NVCP settings don't stick?

u have to set aa thru the crysis menu, doesnt work in the nvcpl. your shots have 0xaa. lol @ even entertaining the idea that 32xsliaa would be playable on 2 8800 gtx. lol @ some of the things said on this forum. arent pc gamers suppose to be the "smart" ones?

lol- no need for insults dude.

My single GTX260, back when I had it, offers comparable performance to what I get with these dual 8800GTXs.

I always thought it was a bit odd that I could crank the AA up so high and the game not be a slideshow- however I never cared enough to research it.

I just forces 16xQ AA via the in-game menu and frames dropped as low as 8fps at one point. Since the 20's are playable for me, 4xAA is probably my rigs' limit until I can get some more GPU power.

a 260 isnt comparable to 8800 gtx in sli in terms of fps. maybe in terms of perceived smoothness due to a huge reduction in microstutter, but in terms of fps not even close.

I've never noticed micro-stutter. And yes, perceived smoothness would be a good way to describe it.

If FRAPs shows 5fps, but it feels like 30- I don't care. What matters to me is that it's smooth enough for me to play. If the devs can somehow manage to make a game playable at a lower FPS then I wont whine one bit.
