Default Display Port not supported w/ Linux

Hi All
I am running into a problem. I have a Quadro FX 3800 with a Dell 2709 monitor. It seems that the Linux drivers do not support the Display port. If I boot to Win 7 the display port sends an image to the monitor, but when I use the Fedora XX the OS is running but no image. It seems to initialize the DVI port only in Linux.
After some digging I found that the same issue has been documented with Nouveau.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you using the Nouveau drivers or the binary from Nvidia?
Displayport works perfectly fine with the nvidia binaries.(have used DP several times with the nvidia binaries)

Display Port doesn't work with either Nvidia Binaries or Nouveau. It may work on some cards but not all I have a Quadro FX 3800 professional Graphics card.
I spoke with the person developing Nouveau and they acknowledge the issue but are waiting for some info from Nvidia.

I also have problems picking up a second monitor using the second display port with Windows 7

We are starting to see several posts since mine on this issue.
