Default OpenCL demos failing with 30-bit xorg

Under Depth 30 most OpenCL demo programs fail. While running in 24-bit mode all is fine.
Under 30-bit some few OpenCL demos work, like oclBandwidthTest, oclDeviceQuery.

I downloaded the 3.1 CUDA SDK compiled the OpenCL demos on a openSUSE-11.2 system:
xorg-x11-7.4-35.3.x86_64
gcc-4.4-4.2.x86_64
kernel-desktop-2.6.31.12-0.2.1.x86_64
compiz-0.7.8-43.44.1.x86_64

oclDeviceQuery, Platform Name = NVIDIA CUDA, Platform Version = OpenCL 1.0 CUDA 3.1.1, SDK Revision = 6161726, NumDevs = 1, Device = Quadro FX 580

System Info:

Local Time/Date = 11:41:07, 07/24/2010
CPU Name: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz
# of CPU processors: 4
Linux version 2.6.31.12-0.2-desktop (geeko@buildhost) (gcc version 4.4.1 [gcc-4_4-branch revision 150839] (SUSE Linux) ) #1 SMP PREEMPT 2010-03-16 21:25:39 +0100

Below the output of the oclVolumeRender:
