Wait, you honestly thought that looked pre-rendered? Thought it looked OK, but not as good as metro 2033.

Am not talking about the screenshots tosse, am talking about the 3d-stereo announcement trailer. It's not even direct feed, it's shakycam offscreen fottage... And no, metro doesn't look better than that video. Still metro has it's amazing visuals, but it's still that detailed only to a pretty limited area in environment and most is indoors.

Then you must lack judgment pretty bad, cause that trailer... rendered in realtime. U cant find anything even similar in graphical quality in that scale. Check it again.

You do mean on a console right ? I also remember the 'ingame' video from Crysis 1 and how it looked nothing like ingame when it was released....Ill save my judgement untill i can actualy play it.

So wait by the pics, the buildings are actually massively destructible? That is outstanding news if true.

destroy, there is destructable facing, my guess is you can make a wall look pitted and filled with blast holes...but bringing buildings down is still gonna be scripted (Have yet to see anyone create internal structures for every single building in an open or closed world map).
The only thing that makes me cry, is that I am going to have to plunk down another $600 for a video card to run this. My existing 8800 was purchased for crysis...paid $600 for evga's overclocked model.

Crysis 2 runs easier than crysis 1. Also, crysis 2 runs fine on a geforce 9800gtx according to a person i know who actually work on crysis 2 as level artist. His name is Helder Pinto, was the winner of a map contest on crymod.com . I was helping him with beta testing of his map and we became friends so yes, the source is secure.

Don't worry, that information wasn't confidential. He wouldn't tell stuff that are confidential within the company, believe me i've tried to squeeze out bits n pieces of crysis 2 but he wont say a thing
He's a really good guy.Besides, we already knew crysis 2 run better and a lot more optimized than crysis 1.
