Dude, crysis 2 on console looks even crisper and runs smooth and produces even better graphics so the award should go to Crysis 2 ffs...

I prefer the look of Rage, actually. It isn't just a bunch of box levels .

Rage and Brink are looking the more impressive games. Crysis 2 looks rather boring and just shooting a bunch of robots in New York.

A lot of Crysis 2 previews seem to hint that the "xbox footage" was really an xbox controller hooked up to a PC. While it was set to approximate the console visuals, I think that ruined any hope of them writing how impressive console performance was.

Looks great, but the regenerating health annoys me. I want to be encouraged to become very good at a game, otherwise where's the challenge?

This game just seems more and more like borderlands. I guess that's a good thing as I can see it being a better than borderlands, I just hope I don't miss the unique weapons too much.

But why do they always demo those AAA games on a console (or playing with a gamepad in general)? It hurts just to watch how the player moves and aims, looks like a horrible gaming experience. This always downgrades a great demo for me.

I think the common sense answer is they demo it on the platform that sells the most, which is the Xbox unfortunately. It's rare to see PS3 footage either.

I agree about the aiming, every time I see aiming in an FPS in console videos it reminds me of one of the main reasons I still game on PC.

it's coming to a console....'challenge' goes out the window and replaced with 'achievement' points..

There are many challenging games on consoles. Even though some companies think they will appeal to more people by making games stupid easy, that isn't true for all companies.

Id software on the other hand has always had fairly simple game play and talked about not adding stuff that complicates it for the gamer, and that's on PC since long back.

That console footage was incredible, the textures actually had some resolution to them and the game seemed to run well with that, which is rare on a console game. Can't wait to play the PC version.
