I have to buy this, it is one of the few games everyone raved about saying it was one of the best of the genre but I never played.

It's Planescape, not Planetscape, you heretic

And yes, the game is of the one best RPGs of its kind and games altogether, but be prepared to be hit with insane amount of text and the fact, that you might not even see the real ending on your first try. It's also long and sometimes unforgiving.

I still have the original 4CD version in box lying around and a 2CD version, that was released with one magazine over here.

I was asking about engine improvements not to the actual game.

Maybe support for higher resolutions, widescreen etc..

Yeah, that wasn't meant for you, you replied too quickly I'm gonna edit it a little bit.

But to answer your question, all the high resolution, widescreen fixes always messed up the game, so I don't think it's possible. It would be sweet though.

From what I understand GOG never changed the actual game, they just make sure it works with modern systems without any DRM hassle. They don't rework the game at all.
