^ This.

I actually only own 1 game that has activated DRM, Far Cry 2. If you just uninstall the game you get your activation back, so no harm. If you have to tie a serial to some online account then that might be the case, but I can't think of anything I own that is like that.

EDIT: Let's say you're playing COD4 or something that uses online checking. Yes if I had installed that game and someone else installed it and we both tried to go online at the same time, it would probably say the serial is in use. But if I just uninstall the game and give someone else the discs, they can install and use it. Can't really think of any games where that has been an issue. Even online games like BF2 your key isn't tied directly to the account, so any account can play from your pc provided it has a valid serial.

Yeah, any game without Steamworks or other account-based DRM that is useless after activation enjoys a decent resale value on ebay and amazon and the like. Hell, even Steamworks games go for a decent amount of money post-release because I guess buyers don't know any better.

The idea of the PC having no resale market is a misconception.

Sorely disappointed this game doesn't have Eyefinity/Surround support. Triple wide resolutions don't show up in the options, and there's no config file or anything to force custom resolutions in the engine.

Yes dam them for not supporting a feature that less then 1% of the PC Gaming population cares about!

*snicker*

I beat the game... trippy ending. There are multiple endings actually, but one of them is obviously the default one and I got it. No big end boss, which was weird... there were bosses during the rest of the game. Come to think of it, this is the first game I have played in a long time where the ending was pretty low-key and easy.

In any event, great game... really enjoyed it.

Having huge texture streaming issues, been in this room now for 5 minutes and the second layer of textures still isn't there,UE3 FTL (or shoddy programming, wichever applys here)
Trying the fix but it's pretty damn retarded to ship the game like this, how can they have missed something this major ?

EDIT:
Added pre and post fix pics, odd that no official fix for this has been released yet.

I'm really enjoying Singularity, been waiting for a decent SP shooter for a while now..
The texture streaming issue did rear its ugly head, with a little searching I found the fix(using a hex patcher). It is much improved once done, but Raven\Activision need to get this glaring bug officially squashed ASAP

It's UE3,never liked it much apart from Mass effect 1 and 2,bioshock looked ok in places. There's a lot of really ugly textures even after the fix and some sections has that butt-ugly GOW color(less) palette that most developers using it can't seem to get away from.Debris on the floor/ground looks like crap, superlowres textures with second layer on top, just as in UT3.

Joking aside there's not really anything major in terms of textures in this game, can't remember if i've seen any highres content that the consoles couldn't render.
